Welcome and thank you for visiting Henry County Alumnae Chapter’s (HCAC) website. We thank you so much for sharing in the great accomplishments and strides we are making in Henry County. As we stand on the enormous shoulders of our great 22 Founders, it is evident that we come from a legacy of the most dynamic, historic, and fabulous women, of the last century. HCAC is a torch and a strong beacon, and we continue to maintain and embrace their vision through a myriad of public service projects, that profoundly affect lives and transform our community.
Our 24th National President, Cynthia M.A. Butler McIntyre, issued a charge “to enthusiastically RECLAIM, RETRAIN and RETAIN Delta's most valuable resources, our members.” As the Membership Chairperson, I am glad to say, HCAC members have answered the challenge and has directly contributed i.e., reclaimed in excess of 100 Sorors since Sep 11, to the national initiative to reclaim 100,000 Sorors for 2013. In addition, we continue to live by the “Sisterhood to the Fourth Power” (S4) initiative, Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood. Sisterhood is the alpha and omega of our organization. It contains and holds us together. The beginning and the end – it brought us together; it colors our programs; it empowers our service throughout the world; it encourages our scholastic endeavors and it keeps us together.
"Sisterhood is many things. It’s a warm smile on a cold and rainy day, a friendly hug, a cheerful hello…. it’s all that a good and lasting friendship is, only better. It’s treasured. It’s sacred. It knows that there will always be someone there for you. Its dreams shared and goals achieved. It’s counting on others and being counted on." ~ Author Unknown
Participating in all the centennial events takes major commitments, on both our resources and finances. Therefore, please understand and don’t take for granted that we are blessed and highly favored to have the opportunity to take part in the 100th year of our beloved sisterhood. This once in a lifetime milestone in our history, will not be repeated and is not to be missed!
Sorors, whether inactive or transferring, we welcome and invite you to join us as we conduct the business of DST, expand our membership, and answer the call. Check back with us often for the latest and greatest news related to HCAC. Soror, guest or friend, there is a place for you in HCAC!
